Carozza Endorsed by Law Enforcement in State Senate Race

Mary Beth Carozza has been endorsed in her State Senate Race by the Maryland Fraternal Order of Police, an organization composed of approximately 22,000 law enforcement professionals dedicated to keeping our communities safe.

“I am humbled and honored to have the support of the law enforcement community in my campaign to be the next State Senator for District 38,” Carozza said. “In Annapolis and on the Shore, I will always advocate for public safety and stand with those who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.”

“I am humbled and honored to have the support of the law enforcement community in my campaign to be the next State Senator for District 38,” Carozza said. “In Annapolis and on the Shore, I will always advocate for public safety and stand with those who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.”

From the official endorsement announcement: “The men and women of the local FOP lodges who represent the Lower Eastern Shore believe that Mary Beth is the best candidate and will be a champion of law enforcement, not only in Eastern Maryland but for all Maryland law enforcement throughout the state.”

Robert Smith, President of FOP Lodge 135, offered words of support to Delegate Carozza. “Mary Beth has always been there for local law enforcement. She uses her position in the Maryland General Assembly to make sure we have the tools and resources needed to protect our local communities and our families… We support Mary Beth for Senate and look forward to the continued relationship in the years ahead,” Smith said.

Since being sworn into the Maryland House of Delegates, Carozza has cosponsored and voted in favor of tax relief for retired law enforcement officers as well as measures to give first responders the tools they need to prosecute those who break the law. Delegate Carozza also has been one of the most vocal leaders in opposing policies that would make Maryland a Sanctuary State and in opposing legislation that would have created taxpayer funded heroin injection sites in local communities.

Delegate Carozza has been a champion for law enforcement in Annapolis and on the Shore throughout Wicomico (top), Somerset (Left), and Worcester (Right) counties.
