Protecting Our Shore Way of Life is a responsibility and a challenge we must all share. It means working every day to preserve this wonderful part of Maryland and making it even better for future generations. My experience, leadership and keen understanding of these issues have prepared me to meet the challenge.
Working together, we must promote, market, and grow our region’s key revenue drivers, tourism, agriculture and water-related industries. Having grown up in a local, family business that catered to tourists and then going on to work with local business leaders as part of Governor Ehrlich’s team, I know what it will take to keep the Shore’s economy productive and moving forward.
I am a proud graduate of Stephen Decatur High School and personally benefitted from the excellence of our local schools. I am committed to working actively with students, parents, teachers, school administrators and school board members to create and maintain an atmosphere for excellence K-12.
Our farm lands, waterways, streams, rivers and ocean front are the lifeblood of Shore living. I am committed to making sure Annapolis understands the concerns of our local officials, farmers, and those who make their living through the fishing and boating businesses. I welcome the opportunity to protect and preserve our natural resources so vital to our economy and way of life.
Keeping our towns and communities safe and secure is one of my highest priorities. I believe that a community’s peace of mind is what makes it a better place to raise a family, run a business and make our visitors and tourists feel safe. As your Delegate in Annapolis, I promise to be a strong advocate for our local police forces, fire departments and emergency services.
Protecting our Shore Way of Life means fighting hard to keep our local business environment robust and productive. My top priority will be to protect jobs and create new ones. To do so, we must fight hard in Annapolis to reduce the tax burden on local businesses and make the region more business friendly.
